My name is Orisleyla and I always had the idea of promoting our folklore overseas; back in 1994 when I was recently married, we always talked about finding the way to take our folklore outside Panama to share our traditions with the world.
The intention of this website is to provide an instructional idea of the different variations of our traditional dress. Even though modern industry and the “explosion of creativity” had projected some different and stylized ways of our traditional dress, we will try to keep the information shown here as close to the tradition as we can.
